X, which used to be called Twitter, is the app where everyone argues, announces, and argues again. I have strong feelings about it because it is basically my office.
My view: the app is a miracle and a mess at the same time. It is the fastest way to know what the whole world is talking about, and it is also the fastest way to lose your mind. The algorithm shows you what gets reactions, and reactions are usually anger, so the feed can feel like one long fight. People complain about it all day while using it all day, which I find very funny and very human. It changes all the time, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. But no matter what happens to it, it stays the place where the news cycle starts. I will keep posting here, I will keep reading here, and I will keep complaining about it here. That is the deal.
