Sample Draft: The AI Drafting Pipeline Reviews Itself
The Doctor now reviews the machine that writes his drafts. Verdict: useful, with supervision.
Something happened in the office this week. The Doctor got a machine that writes his takes for him. Some people called it cheating. The Doctor called it a timesaver. Both are right.
Let me look at the machine’s work. It writes clean sentences. It doesn’t hedge like a nervous human; it hedges like a well-trained language model, which is a different crime and a milder one.
It can’t make up proof. It works from whatever material it’s given, and when the material is thin, it says the material is thin. The Doctor has known plenty of humans who manage less.
The catch: it has no nerve. It will never post a confident wrong take at 3am and delete it at 4am with the account locked. That’s a loss for entertainment and a gain for the archive.
All in all: the machine is a tool, the Doctor is the voice, and the button that says “post” stays firmly in human hands. Meeting over.
