Netflix
Streaming giant. Cancels your favorite show, renews the one you hate, and never explains.
Netflix is the streaming giant that changed how everyone watches TV, and it is also the company everyone loves to cancel. The app, the shows, the subscriptions, the password crackdowns. It is always in the conversation.
My view: Netflix is a great example of a company that won big and now has to deal with everyone expecting more. The golden years of adding millions of subscribers every quarter are over, and the internet turned that into “Netflix is dying.” The truth is more boring: it is still the biggest streaming service, still makes a lot of money, and still has shows everyone talks about on Monday morning. The complaints are real too. Price goes up, shows get cancelled, and the algorithm keeps recommending things you did not ask for. I watch it like I watch most big companies: with respect for what they built and zero surprise when people complain.
