The Week in Takes — Week 34

Another week, another mountain of takes. I read all of them so you don’t have to. Verdicts below — based on proof, nerve, and how much the Doctor wanted to talk about it.

🏆 Best take: the earnings analyst who said “the market is not a democracy.” Clean, sourced, delivered at the right moment. I bow. Rarely does a take combine this much bite with this much spine.

📉 Worst take: “this rally is definitely sustainable because it feels sustainable.” That’s not a take, that’s a mood with a login. The only evidence involved is the word “feels.”

🤡 Boldest take: the politician who called the scandal “a scheduling coincidence.” I have seen confidence, and I have seen nerve, and this was both at once. The guts here are a work of art.

🪙 Special mention, crypto division: “we are SO back” posted four hours before a 20% drawdown. Timing like that can’t be taught. It can only be admired from a distance.

A note for next week. I’m going to talk about how to spot a bad take in the wild. Bring a bad take with you. Appeals accepted — but you’ll need proof.

Full takes and notes land in the archive. The Doctor has spoken.
